History
The club is in fact from the past of necessity arise. Some lovers of old engines were in the eighties not only an old-timer (pre-65) but drove or bought as a classic (post-65). The classics (superbikes) of that time were mainly English machines (Norton, BSA, Triumph, ...), Italian machines (Ducati, Moto Guzzi, Benelli, Laverda, ...), American Harley's and BMW's. These were mainly built in the seventies.
The rules of most clubs had the vintage year 1965 as deadline. With motorcycles from the seventies one could not participate in club events. Real brand clubs were not around, so there was need for a new club a classic that people could unite.
In 1984, the big day, the new club "OMA", Which stands for "Old Motorcycle Association" was born. There were members join with old or classical non-Japanese motorcycles. The membership grew steadily and after a few years saw itself forced to take a formal statute. In 1989 The club is a "V.Z.W."Prepared to become a statute. Since then the club has an average of around 80 members from different provinces of Belgium and the Netherlands.
