| Speedway motorcycle "Daisy", full-size, used by Ray "Broadside" Taylor, frame made by Rudge-Whitworth Ltd, Coventry, England, 1933, 500cc J.A.P. speedway engine No. JOS/C 8273, made by J.A. Prestwich Industries, Tottenham, London, England, 1948 This speedway motorcycle has a modified frame made by Rudge-Whitworth Ltd with non-damped sprung telescopic forks. The tubular frame, forks, and fuel tank are painted light blue. The fuel tank has the name "Daisy" painted in white free hand letters on both sides. The mudguards are both finished in off white. The handle bar grips are black rubber and the seat is covered in black leather. A brass filler cap is fitted. The original engine was replaced in the late 1940s by the owner, Ray Taylor, with a J.A.P., speedway, overhead valve 500 cc engine, with Amal carburettor and BTH magneto. The motorcycle has a stand made for it by Museum staff in 1993. Specifications Engine: J.A.P.
